Sunday Smorgashboard Edition 5

It's been a pretty busy week in my blogosphere... here's a little sampling...

• The great Joe Fish has developed a method for Blogger Beta users to jump ship... at least someone cares enough to give us a life preserver.
• One of my I2TM finds has been a blog called All That Comes With It. It's not really a "daddy blog" as first thought, but more of a "family blog". Well this past week Dan and Kerry's son, Evan, has been in the hospital. He has an excellent post regarding the need for "special people" as pediatric nurses. I suppose I identified with this alot because I often get people who say similar things to me... and in the end the truth is its become just a job.
• I learned this week that I had actually been nominated for The 2006 Weblog Awards for my photoblog. I honestly had no idea Denise had done that until I got an e-mail from another disgruntled blogger who isn't a finalist. I just think its cool she nominated me... and even though I'm not a finalist, I'm not disgruntled because I know life goes on... and voting has begun.
• Avitable has been researching potential religous icons for The Church of Holy Avitableness. He found a few that apparently belong to the Temple of Scary and Hairy Pussies.
• Greg celebrated his birthday this past week... and scored some serious government swag. If the 2008 elections go to the Dems and domestic spying gets trashed... there's a good chance that will be a serious collector's item.
• Phil had an issue of ethical proportions. I've come to the foregone conclusion that he is an alien from another planet who must not have seen, "Earth Girls Are Easy". I so need to visit Uranus.
• George Sfarnas has a timely strip up at Being Five. It's just more evidence that even Santa needs a computer class.
• So Kentucky Gurl is SO busy baking cookies that she can't be disturbed... but feel free to leave her a message.
• So even though I got my hawt orange afghan from Miss Ann (who not only knitted it but then took such a good picture of it... well I stole it for this week's header image), well she's busy working on a few other projects for the chilly people... but you should leave her a message too and tell her how awesome mine came out!
• Finally... if you've ever cursed the Internet for its existence, or Al Gore for inventing it, then Charred has just the site for you. It truly is a wonderful 'Net.

So that is the past week in my blogosphere...
